I know there is a lot of information out there that can make one question yourself and if you are doing the right thing. Up until I got divorced my children were always healthy, they never caught the common colds or flus going around. Have never had strep throat. Post divorce and then my ex having a hand in their diet things changed a little bit and he didn't follow things and still doesn't that they need. But I do my best to keep them well with healthy diet and use of essential oils. With the exception of our 2 years of extreme battling for health, they are doing fairly good now for the most part. They don't get sick nearly as often as many of their peers do. We drink a lot of fresh juices and do green smoothies. We eat a lot of homecooked meals and a lot of stuff from scratch.
My son is now 5 foot 7 and weighs 122 pounds! He is only 12! He is going to be tall! My daughter is 4 foot 9 and a lean mean 66 pounds. She has a dancer build and is gorgeous.
The doctor did say to make sure they are getting out and playing or exercising at least an hour a day. Days when they have friends over this is easy. The dr felt that my son needed to do some weightlifting or running to help him deal with some of his surging hormones.
All that said vegetarians and vegans take heart, you CAN have healthy children on this diet. I have learned this myself in my own classes both at the 4 year college and in my current program, the key a with ANY diet, is to eat a variety of foods and try to make as much from scratch as you can. If you eat a lot of processed foods, unfortunately those are devoid of a lot of nutrition.
