One of the stories/books i have read recently is called mother warriors. It totally touched my heart because you know what? that is what i feel like when it comes to my children. I am doing EVERYTHING i possibly can to give them the best possible shot. only unfortunate thing is i have an ex husband who can keep screwing it up for them each time he sees them. another story for another time. These mothers fought for their children. They were in there researching and talking with other moms and doing every possible thing to get the help for their kids that they needed. I know you moms who also have kids with health challenges can relate. You have to be out there and really trying to pave a way to find healing for your child. Unfortunately sometimes we can not just expect it to come to us. We have to put in the work and effort to find the answers that we are looking for.
Y is getting glasses tomorrow. They want him to wear them for 2 months and then he will be starting vision therapy, in addition to his speech therapy, OT, regular therapy, and the diet plan he is on and vast array of supplements. He is getting better. slowly. but he is. He is getting evaluated by a pediatric developmental unit next week as well. hopefully they can help pin point some answers for me as well. This is what i am talking about. When it comes to our kids we have to never give up and just keep working with them and seeing what works and what doesn't.
I would like to call these sacral adjustments - not sure of exact name but it was recommendd by their dr as possibly being able to help them with their learning struggles. Hopefully next year.
Everything just seems to be a big piece of a giant puzzle. Diet i believe is a huge piece of it and the state of our colon. if our colon is unhealthy, i believe that we will have some kind of health problems because of that. Colon health is soooo important. I will keep striving to get that health for myself and all the kids. and hopefully once that comes then some of the rest of this stuff will kick in too.
The journey has definitely been a long one filled with many bumps, challenges. The key is to never give up and keep perservering despite what is put in front of you.
