Yummy, filling, healthy and inexpensive to make. These are a fun snack that is easy to modify to multiple different flavors. I have had some in the past that have been italian flavored, or vegetable. There are so many yummy ways to prepare these. I didn't write down exact amounts yet, however when I make them next I will write down the amounts and then post a recipe soon.
Here are the basic ingredients:
whole flax seeds (soaked for a couple of hours)
freshly ground flax seeds
pinch of celtic sea salt
To make them, soak your flax seeds in filtered water for a couple of hours. When they are nice and gooey, add your ground flax seeds, raw honey, sea salt, and cinnamon. You could also possibly add just a smidge of extra virgin olive oil to the mix as well.
Spread out on trays on the dehydrator. Dehydrate at 110 degrees. After about 6 hours, flip the crackers on tray over and then dehydrate until they are to your desired crispyness.
My kids love these. They are packed full of omega 3s and are a good source of fiber.
